The Glass Station's 25th Anniversary Glass Float Project
Eben hides his floats in his favorite place on Earth. Where would you hide yours?

The Silver Anniversary Float
For 25 years, we’ve been blowing glass and making art in Wakefield, Rhode Island. So many friends of The Glass Station Studio came to us through The Glass Float Project, Eben Horton’s nearly 15-year participatory art installation on Block Island. We cannot thank this community enough for this enthusiasm and support, so we decided to give you something, too.
In July of 2025, Eben designed and created 25 very special floats to celebrate 25 incredible years. Then, at The Glass Station's 25th Anniversary Party on August 1st, we gave them all away to you, our friends, to hide. Eben has used the Glass Float Project to share his favorite place on earth with all of you. Now we want you to have a chance to do the same.
Where would you hide yours?
Our 25 luckiest friends were randomly chosen to receive a 'Silver Anniversary Float' and now get to answer that question, becoming an important part of the Glass Float Project by helping to spread the message far beyond Block Island to slow down, spend time in nature, and really look at the beautiful world around us.

How can I look for these special floats?
The 25 winners (and each of our Glass Float Project Sponsors - that's right, there are more than 25 floats being hidden!) have been tasked with hiding their float in a beautiful place they hold close to their heart, spreading the joy of The Glass Float Project to new places and people.
Each hider has signed The Float Hider's Pledge, and will share the exact location of their float with us as soon as it's been hidden. We will announce each float's general location as they are hidden on Instagram, our Facebook community, and on The Glass Float Project Newsletter! (Hot tip: Newsletter subscribers will get the scoop hours before our social media followers!) After that, it's game on - Happy Hunting!
Floats will be hidden all over country, and a few are going international! But the rules are still the same: be respectful in your search, do no harm, take nothing but photos (and a float if you're lucky), and leave nothing but footprints. These floats will NEVER be hidden anywhere on private property, or in such a way that their retrieval would cause harm to fragile ecosystems or historic structures.
