Hand crafted by Dana Kellin, this necklace features an elongated semi-precious Kyanite.
Kyanite gets its name from the Greek term, Cyanos, meaning "blue," and it is one of the most beautiful blue minerals in nature, often exhibiting many different shades of blue in one stone.
Kyanite is believed to facilitate meditation, and it never needs to be cleansed of negative energies. The blue kyanite is said to help strengthen the voice and soothe the throat, making it especially beneficial to speakers and vocal performers.
This particular piece is rough cut Kyanite, meaning it is not faceted or highly polished. Rather, in its natural form, it exhibits the more organic qualities of the pure mineral. It is drilled and is connected to the 14k-gold chain by a hand-wrapped gold wire bezel.
Necklace chain length measures: 16" , and the stone drops an additional 1 3/8".
