Collection: Raj Kommineni

​Raj Kommineni grew up in Acton, MA and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While at Amherst, Kommineni met Jerry Kelly who would later become a glasswork mentor for him. He also got a job working for Malanie Cansler of Fire Dance Glass. In 2001, Kommineni graduated from Amherst with a degree in Forestry and by 2002 he was working at Fire on the Mountain Glass with Jerry Kelly.

After going through an intensive year long apprenticeship under Jerry Kelly and working to perfect his craft, Kommineni opened Kommineni Art Glass in 2004. He focuses heavily on marbles and paperweights, but his talent extends to intricate small blown vessels and personalized glass jewelry. He is published in The Encyclopedia of Modern Marbles Spheres and Orbs by Mark Block and the magazine Glass Line.
