Collection: Hot Glass Alley

Jacob Pfeiffer was born in 1988 in New Jersey. He is a contemporary American glass artist and the founder of Hot Glass Alley in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pfeiffer earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass from the School of American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010. His glass education also includes intensive study at the Penland School of Crafts (NC), the Duncan McClellan Glass School (FL), and The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass (NY), where he trained under internationally renowned artists including Lino Tagliapietra, Davide Salvadore, and Vittorio Costantini.

Pfeiffer has received numerous honors, including Judges Choice 3D at Charlotte’s Festival in the Park, the Emerging Artist Merit Award from the Buyers Market of American Craft, and recognition as one of American Craft Week's 30 Rising Stars Under 30.

Blending traditional Italian and Swedish techniques with modern forms, Pfeiffer creates both functional and sculptural pieces characterized by precision, vibrant color, and movement. He currently lives and works in Charlotte, NC, where he leads Hot Glass Alley—a public-access studio offering exhibitions, commissions, demonstrations, and educational programs in the art of glassblowing.
