Kayanite gets its name from the Greek term, Cyanos, meaning "blue," and it is one of the most beautiful blue minerals in nature, often exhibiting many different shades of blue in one stone.
Kyanite is believed to facilitate meditation, and it never needs to be cleansed of negative energies. The blue kyanite is said to help strengthen the voice and soothe the throat, making it especially beneficial to speakers and vocal performers.
